About 613

A small group withone room.

613 Live Music is a Vietnamese live-music collective in Melbourne. We host intimate phòng-trà evenings — eight rotating vocalists, the Blue Band on stage, candlelight on every table — celebrating the songs we grew up on.

How it started

On 13 June 2025, a small group of us in Melbourne held our first phòng-trà show. We called it Mưa Tháng 6 — June Rain — and honestly, we didn't know if anyone outside our own circles would come. The room sold out. That night changed something for all of us. There are a lot of people in this city — Vietnamese and not — who miss the feeling of a phòng-trà night: a small room, candles, real musicians, a real singer, and songs that mean something. Not karaoke. Not a wedding band in the corner. A show, made with care. So we kept going.

Where we are now

Over the past year we've put on 6 shows. Each one has its own theme. Each one features a rotating group of singers — some are with the core team, some are guest artists we love. The musicians on stage are the 613 Band, who we trust to read the room and play with the singers, not just behind them.

613 runs on conviction, not commission. The four of us behind the board put our time in because we believe Melbourne needs a room like this — and everything the audience contributes goes back into the show, the artists, and the next night.

The format

Phòng-trà style
Not a concert, not a bar gig. You sit at a candlelit table. The music is close enough that you can feel it.
A rotating lineup
Every show has its own theme, its own songs, its own emotional arc — curated for that arc, not for star power.
The 613 Band on stage
A real band, rehearsed with the singers, every show. No backing tracks.
Toàn JK on sound & lighting
Production quality is something we don't compromise on. You'll notice.
